Our beauty shop is staffed by a licensed beautician every Wednesday and Friday. Both men and women take advantage of this activity.

Resident’s Council

Resident’s Council meeting are held the second Tuesday of the month at 3:00 PM. At this time, residents address any areas of concern, make suggestions and discuss their satisfaction with each department in the facility. The meetings are open only to the residents, the social worker and the activity director. In the event that another staff member wishes to be present, it must be presented to the residents on the council and agreed upon. At each meeting a monthly meal is planned and voted on to be served the third Wednesday of the following month.

Residents turn to their council to request improvements in the facility to better accommodate the needs and wishes of all residents. These suggestions are voted on before they are approved.

The residents on our council are very active within the facility. They are pleased that their voices are heard and that they are the reason we are here. Wilson Pines Nursing and Rehabilitation Center operates as a close-knit family. Residents and staff genuinely care about one another.

Family Support

Although we don’t have a specific support group we do have a lot of compassion for every family member. Our staff works closely with family to accommodate the interest and needs of their loved ones. For celebrations, birthday parties or simple family get-togethers the facility offers private settings that can be reserved for these occasions.

The facility also holds care plan meetings on Thursdays. The purpose of the meeting is to have a formally planned time to discuss the plan of care with the resident and their family as desired. It is here that we address any concerns family may have. Of course we have an open door policy and are available to discuss any issues as they arise.

Although the services provided by our facility are vital to our residents, family involvement is an essential part of their recuperation and wellbeing. We lean upon one another!

Religious Services

Religious services are offered several times each week. Programs are held at varying times of the day to failthaccommodate our resident’s schedules.  We have many volunteers from different denominations who love to have fellowship with our residents. Church service is one of our most frequented events.
